How to Make a Personalized Halloween Card

By the Halloween AI team · Updated

Choose a card starter, personalize the greeting and names, check the crop and text, then export the file. Save a private project if you want to return to the editable version later.

1. Choose the occasion and shape

Open the card collection and choose a starter. Use 5 × 7 for a flat printed card, square for a compact social image, or story for a vertical screen. Choose the shape first so you can see how much room your words have.

2. Write to one person

Replace the default recipient and sender. Add a short wish and a detail that belongs to your relationship, such as a shared Halloween memory. If you need a starting point, use the editable card messages and paste your revised line into the studio.

3. Adjust the image and text

Choose a palette and font. Move each text layer to a quiet area, increase the size of the main greeting, and shorten lines that crowd the illustration. Uploading your own photo replaces the background; check that important features stay inside the crop.

4. Save, preview and download

Review spelling, contrast and the entire card at the final size. Save the project to keep the editable document. Download PNG or JPG for sharing; choose PDF for a flat print file. A downloaded file does not replace the saved editable project.

If the result is hard to read

Try a shorter message, a calmer background or a different palette. Leave breathing room around the edges. If a print looks soft, use a smaller print size or a sharper source photo rather than relying on a larger export canvas.

Questions before you create?

Do I have to upload a photo?

No. You can personalize the supplied artwork with your own greeting and names.

Does downloading mail the card to someone?

No. Send the downloaded file through your own sharing app, or print it yourself.
